Dear Spiro Athanas,

hi, My name is Zharia Oreanna Willis. I have read your story  "A Bag of Oranges" I think the story is great. I think it is a good coming of age story. This story shows a deeper meaning of coming of age. I feel what happened to thew father was sad.
I can relate to your coming of age experiences. Like when my mother died, i started to act and do every she used to do when she was alive. I felt just like my mother sitting on the porch every morning rocking in her rocking chair. I felt at the moment I should act mature so i did. It's similar to your story because when Nikos was acting like his father. That was after the father got hit by a car.
the theme of the story is you don't appreciate what you got until it's gone. I say that because how Nikos was acting before and after his father got hit. Before he was embarrass to be seen with his father. After his father got hit he want to act like him. That's why i say you don't know what you have until it's gone.

Sincerely,
Zharia Oreanna Willis
